About Osaka Castle
I went to Osaka Castle with my girlfriend to enjoy beautiful Osaka view and Osaka’s history last week.

Osaka Castle was built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi and is famous as a base for unifying the country.
Toyotomi Hideyoshi is a famous Japanese samurai lord. He was born into a farming family, but rose through the ranks and eventually unified the country.
In 1583, Toyotomi Hideyoshi began construction of Osaka Castle with the aim of unifying the country. In 1590, he achieved unification of the country.
Osaka Castle demonstrated Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s wealth and power, and became the forerunner of early modern castle towns, creating a political, economic, military and cultural center.
Inside the Castle
We can actually go inside the castle and feel a lot of Japanese history.
We can get souvenirs there, and some can only be purchased here.
